beyond naivety

Beyond Naivety is an exploration in post naive realism at a challenging level.

Post naive realism is a contemporary view of our place in nature that acknowledges the full implications of the most profound statement of modern neuroscience: that the world we experience is a construct created by the principle of the brain - the same principle that creates our experience of self.

circles, myth and imagination

Circles, Myth and Imagination is a series of ten connected short essays in post-naive realism, explored through ancient myth, musical science, quantum physics, brain science, the renaissance musician and philosopher Marsilio Ficino, and William Blake.

Post naive realism is a contemporary view of our place in nature that acknowledges the full implications of the most profound statement of modern neuroscience: that the world we experience is a construct created by the principle of the brain. The same principle that creates our experience of self.

the nature equation

The Nature Equation looks at mathematics and science in a radical way, and says that science cannot come to a proper understanding of the nature of the universe without a proper understanding of the human brain, and of the nature of the human mind and experience of being (created through the brain).

It suggest we should regard all mathematical structures as networks, and look deeper into the principle of recursion - or fractal mathematics - recognising that there are two kinds of infinity in mathematics, rather than just different "sizes" of infinity.

The book draws attention to the importance of an experiment that took place in the same year as the "discovery" of the Higgs boson, but received no great media attention - an experiment that difinitively showed we have to go beyond naive realism in science.
