About

Brian Capleton's earliest publications were in the field of music, musical instruments, and musicology, and he was formerly a lecturer at the Royal National College. He now writes both non-fiction and fiction, his first novel Ekanta being based on Mythic Symbolism, a medium he is now developing further.
His current non-fiction deals with transpersonal spirituality and its relevance in the modern scientifically informed world, especially in the context of the contemporary endeavour to scientifically understand the brain.
He holds a PhD in music (philosophy of music) and is an alumnus of Trinity College of Music, The Royal College of Music, and Wolfson College Oxford.
